Sallie made some big changes in 2017. Although Sallie grew up on Daufuskie Island, she had not made it her full time home is recent years. Fortunately, that changed in 2017.
Sallie spent most of her time between Daufuskie and the Savannah and Hilton Head areas. With family, friends, and numerous commitments all over the Low Country, Sallie stayed relatively busy going from one place to another. In September of 2017, Sallie moved back to Daufuskie full time. She is currently working to get her family’s property back to its true beauty. We are so grateful to have Sallie living here again full time!
In addition to being a full time resident on Daufuskie, Sallie also joined the Daufuskie Island Town Council. As a Council Woman, Sallie is a voice and advocate for Daufuskie Island with Beaufort County, State and Federal officials and administrative agencies. Fittingly, Sally is also the Chair of Cultural and Historical Preservation Committee for Daufuskie Island Council. Her advocacy for the island is indispensable.
